The Web Design Process – Foundation

Justaladd Design Image Step 1Together we identify the goals and focus of your website. We break the focus down into primary, secondary, and tertiary elements so we can build the connections (call to action) for each section appropriately and keeping development productive.

We begin by laying out the purpose of your website. Who is your audience? What are they looking for in your site? How do they identify their needs in contrast to how you identify your product or service? Identify marketing strategies to be built into the site. What services need to be utilized? We also gather all existing branding material if it currently exists.

With these building blocks in place, a production timeline is built that fits into your budget without any unforeseen surprises. You will receive this document along with the projected sitemap, wireframe layout and production timeline for your review and approval.

With this section completed and approved, the layout of your web design project begins.

Model Layout

Justaladd Design Image Step 2With the information identified and refined in the first step, the look and feel of your website is put into place based on a wireframe model. Any additional needs are also identified at this time (graphics, images, site copy, etc.).

The Model Layout identifies main sections and sub sections, navigation and page functions. The initial wireframe model is then transformed into a polished image representation of the website and delivered to you for approval or revision requests.

Once the Model Layout is finalized and approved, the development phase begins.

 

 

Production

Justaladd Design Image Step 3At this point in production, your development website and the core structure of your layout are put into place. You have full access to the entire construction process.

Once all functions are in place, initial testing begins. This is where client communication becomes most crucial. Through the testing process, we highlight and implement any revisions together. Once testing is finished and approved, training for website management begins, if needed, for you and your staff.

There is no additional fee for website management training when utilizing a Content Management System (WordPress or Drupal). If training is needed for any other web editors (Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc.), an initial training fee will be included.

With your approval of the tested website and any initial training started, your website is moved to the live web server.

Site Launch

Justaladd Design Image Step 4Upon approval, your website is launched and promoted.

Submission begins to all major search engines and verifying search engine ranking. Any needed modifications for search engines begins, as well as implementing all agreed upon marketing strategies. If selected, social media is implemented into your marketing.

If selected, Justaladd Design will begin managing your website and marketing strategies for you. Many variations of this service can be selected. Services you can choose include: SEO, Website Maintenance and Management, Social Media Integration, or any combination of services.
